Description

The BLE2, Bluetooth Low Energy click features the Microchip RN4020 module with a complete Bluetooth stack, and can act both as a client or a server. Additionally, the RN4020 module supports 13 public profiles and 17 public services, including the MicroChip Low-energy Data Profile (MLDP).

The click communicates with the target board’s microcontroller through mikroBUS™ RX, TX and AN (here, CMD), PWM (con.), and RST (wake) lines. The board is designed to use a 3.3V power supply only.

Programming

The code sets up the BLE2 click board, and sends messages through Bluetooth low energy every 5 seconds. If the BLE2 click board receives messages over Bluetooth low energy, the code displays the message and updates the buffer
